Essay on A Cricket Match | A Cricket Match Essay for Students and Children in English

Games and matches are inspirational for everyone. I am very fond of watching matches and find great joy in them. One day the principal of our college announced that soon there would be a match between D. College, Panipat, and our team. This announcement made me very happy, and I eagerly waited for that day.

Finally came the pre-determined day of the match. At precisely 8 A.M., both teams' players came to the playground in sports clothes. A large number of visitors from both the colleges also gathered along with the teachers. All eyes were fixed on the players of both teams, who appeared very agile and agile. Both teams' physical education directors took over the responsibility of umpire in the match.

Suddenly there was a lot of enthusiasm among the players. The umpire blew the whistle, and the captains of both teams reached the middle of the field. After that, the decision to 'toss' was made by tossing the coin. Our team won the toss and the opposing team took the field.
The game started at 8.10 in the morning. As soon as the game started, the atmosphere reverberated with thunderous applause. Both players proceed to take the initiative in the game. It was clear that both of them had complete faith in their success. My team scored 50, but then suddenly, one of them got out. Now another player from our team stepped forward. He also proved to be very good. When he got out, he took our team's run count to 110. As soon as the score was announced, the atmosphere reverberated with applause and whistles.

Now the captain of our team came forward. He was an outstanding player and had earned many medals and citations in the game of cricket. He played so well that the run score reached 199. Once again, there was a wave of enthusiasm in the audience, as there was still no name of fatigue in him, and the score kept going on. By meal time, our score reached 212; after that, both teams ended the game and went to eat.

The game resumed after lunch. This time it was the opposing team's turn to play. The first two players of that team played very well and scored 79 runs, but unfortunately, the other players could not play well. He was able to score only 154 runs. The game started going out of control for the team. One after the other, the wickets started falling. The next player is out immediately. We watched the match with great eagerness, and time passed. But the last player tried to balance once again and took his score to 170. The game was played so cleverly and so well that there was a constant feeling that it was not easy to beat the opposition. We were very skeptical of our victory, but after 180 runs, when his last player was also dismissed, there was an unbroken process of applause among the spectators. There was happiness and enthusiasm all around. There was no hope of getting any more runs. The opposing team was defeated.

Time had run out. There was thunderous applause all around. Filled with enthusiasm and zeal, our college mates carried the captain of their team on their shoulders. We were delighted to win the match. There was such an atmosphere of excitement and surprise in happiness that each other's voices could not be heard. The loud noise of deafening noise continued to amaze the audience, and we were immersed in indescribable joy.

It was a momentous day in the history of our college, as our team won a marquee match. Although there is always some match between the teams of different educational institutions, the amount of happiness and enthusiasm I experienced on this occasion was never before in my life.
